Course Description

This course builds on foundational mathematics content learned by students in Grades K–8 by expanding mathematical understanding to provide students with a strong mathematics education. The content is designed to engage students in a variety of mathematical experiences that include the use of reasoning and problem-solving skills, which may be applied to life situations beyond the classroom setting.

This course serves as the cornerstone for all high school mathematics courses; therefore, all subsequent mathematics courses require mastery of the Algebra I content standards.

Course Description

This course includes inequalities, functions, matrices, complex numbers, rational expressions and functions, conics, polynomial functions, radicals, exponents, logarithms, and sequences and series.

This course or Algebra II with Trigonometry is required for a math graduation credit.

This is an ending course for seniors only.

Course Description

This course proceeds more rapidly than Algebra II and includes inequalities, functions, matrices, complex numbers, rational expressions and functions, conics, polynomial functions, radicals, exponents, logarithms, and sequences and series.

The course culminates in a full survey of trigonometry, including right triangles, the unit circle, and graphing trigonometric functions.

This course is intended for students with a strong mathematics background who plan to take more advanced mathematics or science courses.

Course Description

This course is designed to extend students’ knowledge of Algebra I with additional algebraic and trigonometric content. Mastery of the content standards for this course is necessary for success in higher-level mathematics.

Appropriate technology is used for numerical and graphical investigations that support deeper analytical comprehension.
