Course Description
This course offers a survey of British Literature from the Middle Ages to the present. Emphasis is placed on strengthening reading comprehension, grammar, writing, vocabulary, and speaking skills. This class is designed for students working at or below grade level.Credit: 1 CREDIT

ENG 101 – English Composition I
ENG 101 provides instruction and practice in writing extended compositions, developing analytical and critical reading skills, and building reference and documentation abilities. The course also includes instruction and practice in library usage.*Note: 11th grade students must also complete a required American Literature component via NACC Canvas.*
Credit: 1 CREDIT
ENG 102 – English Composition II
ENG 102 provides instruction and practice in writing six compositions, two requiring research and proper use of outside sources following MLA documentation. The course emphasizes analytical and critical reading skills and includes continued instruction in library usage.Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in ENG 101 or equivalent.
Credit: 1 CREDIT
