Course Description
This course focuses on American Literature up to 1900 and English grammar through both traditional and contemporary selections. Grammar and composition skills are strengthened and refined, with an emphasis on mastering the language and writing skills needed for the Alabama High School Graduation Exam. This class is intended for students working at or below grade level.Credit: 1 CREDIT

Course Description
This advanced course provides a comprehensive, in-depth study and critical analysis of American Literature up to 1900. Students engage with both traditional and contemporary works while refining grammar, composition, and advanced literacy skills. Outside reading is required. Due to increased rigor and expectations, grades are weighted. Summer reading and projects are required, and all assignments are due at the start of the school year.Credit: 1 CREDIT
