BIOLOGY (220011) – One Year

Course Description

Biology is a comprehensive study of the living world, including scientific process and application skills; cell processes; cell theory; photosynthesis and cellular respiration; genetics; classification; plants; animals; ecology; and biogeochemical cycles.

Laboratory experiences are included for all major concept areas, along with inquiry-based group activities.

HONORS CP BIOLOGY (220012) – One Year
Prerequisite: None

Course Description

This course is designed for the accelerated tenth grader who plans to take higher-level sciences. The subject matter is the same as in Biology but explored with greater depth, speed, and enrichment.

Laboratory work, problem-solving experiences, and enrichment activities are key components of the course. Collections may be required.
