Course Description

This course is specifically designed to cover the major topics of Differential and Integral Calculus. The derivative, its definition and applications, including rates of change, maxima and minima, and graphical interpretation are studied in depth. Integral Calculus includes the anti-derivative, differential equations, areas, volumes, and average value. Students prepare for the AP test in May with review during the final quarter.

Honors Calculus D.E. (210025) – One Semester

Prerequisite: Pre-Calculus or Dual Enrollment Pre-Calculus (80+ recommended)
Recommended: Graphing calculator
Topics include limits; derivatives of algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions; definite integrals and applications to area problems; maximum/minimum problems; curve sketching; vectors; lines and planes in space; polar coordinates; parametric equations; techniques of integration; infinite series; and more.

Credit: 1 CREDIT
