Fort Payne Computer Science Team Visits UAH

On November 21, 2025, the Fort Payne High School Computer Science Team spent the day exploring the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), gaining firsthand insight into what the university offers for future computer scientists.
Students toured UAH’s Computer Science department, where they visited modern classrooms, observed ongoing projects, and explored hands-on labs equipped with industry-standard technology. Faculty and staff shared valuable information about academic programs, research opportunities, and the real-world applications students can expect to experience as CS majors.
The team also got a taste of campus life with lunch at the Charger Café, UAH’s main dining hub. It was a fun chance for students to relax, talk with current college students, and experience the atmosphere of the university community.
The visit provided a meaningful look into what studying Computer Science at UAH is like, leaving our students excited and inspired about their future opportunities in the field.
